Baker Farm and Hardware is a family-owned company that has been in business in Kennett, Missouri, for over 30 years. Charles B. Baker opened Delta Tractor Supplies in 1968. He moved the business after nine years from the downtown area to its present location on the North Bypass.
In 1981, the company became an Ace Hardware dealer and its name was changed to Baker Farm and Hardware. Based on the success of Mr. Baker's philosophy of customer service the business has grown and expanded.
Originally focused on farm supplies and related hardware, the store has expanded and added new product lines. In the 1980s pool chemicals and men's workwear were added. In the mid-90s the clothing line was expanded to include Gore-Tex boots and jackets, camouflage garments and Carhartt outerwear. In 1995 Dixie Chopper commercial lawn mowers were added.
As the times have changed so has Baker Farm and Hardware. The store now offers online shopping for cotton picker parts. Instore products still include farm tractor and implement parts, Tee Jet and irrigation parts and Banjo pumps. The selection of sporting goods has grown to include a variety of hunting supplies and accessories.
Customer service remains a priority and Baker Farm welcomes your visit whether you're shopping in the store or online. If your business is farming or you're into the outdoors, you'll find something to like at Baker Farm and Hardware.
